The Holy Bible, King James Version, is a revered translation of the Christian Bible that includes both the Old Testament and New Testament. One notable feature of this version is the use of red letters to indicate the words spoken by Jesus himself.

The Old Testament consists of a comprehensive collection of books, including Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, and many more. The New Testament includes books such as Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, and Revelation.

The King James Version, also known as the Authorized Version or King James Bible, holds significant historical importance within the English-speaking Christian community. It was commissioned by King James I in 1604 and completed in 1611. This translation was the third officially approved English version and replaced previous translations that were deemed inadequate.

Under the supervision of King James I, a team of 47 scholars from the Church of England carried out the translation work. The New Testament was translated from Greek, the Old Testament from Hebrew, and the Apocrypha from Greek and Latin sources.

By the 18th century, the Authorized Version had become widely accepted and used in Anglican and Protestant churches. It gradually superseded the Latin Vulgate as the standard English scripture for scholars. The edition commonly used today closely follows the standard text of 1769, edited by Benjamin Blayney at Oxford.
